About Me

Mike Byars, graduated from "National Powerhouse" Dunbar High School in Ft. Worth, TX. After being highly recruited in high school, Mike signed on and was a part of the starting line up at the University of Miami (FL). He would later transfer to Northwestern St. (LA) where he was All-Conference Newcomer of the Year, All-Conference 1st Team, Southland Conference Tournament MVP and was recently added to the college's prestigious All-Century Team. Professionally, Mike worked out with numerous NBA teams and had a successful career playing overseas for 9 years. Mike now uses his Academy to coach and train children of the ages 8-18, helping them to strengthen their games through agility, endurance, ball handling and skills work with defensive and offensive principles. He loves working with children and his reputation precedes him.
